Where is Beccles

You'll find Beccles located in north Suffolk. Sitting on the River Waveney, about 10 miles away from Lowestoft and the coast. The city of Norwich is 20 miles to the north west Beccles.

What is going on in Beccles

Beccles is an old market market town, and still has a market in the town centre on a Friday. You'll also find a host of independent shops to browse around - including Seppings, the best (in my opinion) butchers in East Anglia!

Having plenty of independent shops is one thing, but you still need a large supermarket to get the groceries in. Fortunately, Beccles has a few of these too - Tesco is in the centre of town; Tesco is also a good place to park while visiting the town. And you'll find a Morrisons supermarket on the outskirts of Beccles too.

For refreshments try the Swan House restaurant in the centre of town; or Twyfords coffee shop. The Kings Head in the market square has also now become a Weatherspoons pub, and offers food & drink all day.

For all those lucky enough to holiday during the summer months, you may want to consider a trip to Beccles Lido. This large open air swimming pool is the place to come to start the day.
